FINE DINING

Fine Dining coordinator Paul has asked for a fellow Probus member to help with the next fine dining experience. The proposed venue is Chromy's Restuarant at Relbia and it is hoped that a date can be established for Oct/Nov this year.

Please contact Paul if you would like to join him in organising this outing along with future dining experiences in the future.

SURPRISE LUNCHEON

Congratulations to Leigh Jones  for the surprise luncheon enjoyed by members on Tuesday 22 July. What a great departure from our regular "Soup & Sandwich" experiences of yesteryear. The variety of pizza's ' Tropical  to Vegetarian' catered for all palates and were certainly a surprise package for the members. It was a great feast....thank's Leigh for your creative surprise luncheon.

NEW MEMBERS

It does not happen that often that we have three new member  inductions  at a regular Probus meeting  (22 July)

Welcome Dr Tom Dunning, Ken Saunders and Robert Worland.

FINE ART

Following on from the meandering " ART IN HEALTH"  given by Paul Richards in June would members please note that if they are visiting the 'ARTrium Gallery' at the Launceston General Hospital ( NICS Building, 41 Frankland Street, LGH Precinct) it is only open on week days from 8.30am through to 4pm. The gallery is always closed of a weekend....however, the level three Gallery in the main street of the hospital ( Charles St entrance) can be viewed ( this is where the Barbed Wire Brumby is exhibited) along with the LGH art collection on each of levels 1- 6.
