I have added a new page to the site to record the list of President's of the Probus Club of Launceston.

Please note that I have updated the calendar page with all known dates for 2014

I also hope to be adding new activities in association with "Special Interest Groups" and other events within our Probus year.

Leigh Jones Reports - Visits and Entertainment

1- March BBQ was great. Good food, wine and everybody went home happy

2- Visit to Evandale Probus Club being planned soon.

3- 22 July......SURPRISE LUNCHEON .....$10/head

4- 26 August ...Probus Club birthday...cake and something to sweeten taste buds

5- September, date to be advised - "Drysdale House"

6- 2 December- Christmas Function- ' Launceston Club ' - 2 course meal inclusive of all drinks $50/head.

The next scheduled walk will be on Tuesday 29 April - Tamar Island, West Tamar Highway - Assemble in carpark on site to move off at 10am

The March meeting saw the changeover to our newly installed President Hans Bosman.

Hans new team for 2014-15 is:-

CONGRATULATIONS Leigh on our PROBUS Christmas Luncheon

Our PROBUS luncheon for 2014 was held today at the Launceston Club. The silver service, food, wine and company was a fitting end to our Probus year and the celebration of Christmas. Leigh Jones excelled in his organisation of the event. MC Ivan James did a superb job along with a profound message from Dr John Morris delivering the Christmas message. It was a resounding success with all the ladies receiving a beautiful single rose and the men a chocolate bar.

Leigh Jones had all his Christmases come at once with this chance encounter during proceedings.

Several probus club members met with our fishing guru Chris Cohen at Huntsman lake on Wed 5 October for a picnic and the fine art of fly fishing. A most enjoyable day.

Was there too much red wine Tom !!!!
