WELCOME TO 2015
I hope that you have all had a wonderful Christmas and that the New Year will bring new and rewarding challenges. The Club has a solid progamme in store for the members and here is what we have for January /February 2015.
Guest Speakers
The guest speaker for our first meeting of the year scheduled for Tuesday 27 January will be the return of Lindsay Millar who will address us on ' The History of Aviation in Tasmanian'. The Meanderer will be Max Boyd and the Man Behind the Badge Robert Worland.
In February our guest speaker is Dr Marie-Louise Bird who will speak on 'Technology in Stroke Rehabilitation'.
Walks
Chris Cohen has a planned walk for early February...one of his old favourites' The Supply River Mill ' walk. This walk is quite short but has the advantage of a table available for morning tea and a chat. This walk is scheduled for Tuesday 3 February.
Fishing Trip
Possibly scheduled for Easter Tuesday 7 April at Clyne Vale. This is a popular venue and Darrell and Vera Manton have agreed to host members for a pleasant days fishing in the South Esk River.
Skemps Reserve
This will be arranged with the Field Naturalist Club. This is a beautiful and serene site where several walks are available, short, long or just what ever you feel like...or just relax and take in the country air whilst enjoying a sausage sizzle.
There is no doubt that 2015 will be yet another great Probus year with a host of excellent guest speakers, regular walks, fishing trips and a host of sites of historical importance to be visited with Jim Anderson over the coming months.
